In 2023, we began by addressing immediate needs through the distribution of essential health and hygiene supplies. As we continued our work, it became clear that lasting health improvements depend not only on materials but also on strong health and hygiene education, as well as access to clean water and basic infrastructure. In response, our program evolves into a comprehensive framework that places education at the center, integrating supply distribution with STEM-based infrastructure projects—such as building rainwater-harvesting systems to expand clean water access.
Beginning 2025, to promote health awareness and prevention among youth, Sean Pham, our co-founder developed and delivered General Health Workshops for students at Sín Chéng High School in Lao Cai Province. Students were educated about common diseases affecting their communities—such as respiratory infections, diarrheal illnesses, malnutrition, and mosquito-borne diseases—while emphasizing the importance of hygiene, nutrition, vaccination, and healthy habits. Through interactive hands-on workshops, students learned how to make handwashing liquids using sustainable, environmentally safe and locally available ingredients. The fresh smell of lemongrass, soap berries, and lemon leaves — mixed with kids’ laughter — was a wonderful reminder that children aren’t just helpers; they can lead the way when they have the know-how and a few basic tools. The workshops empowered students with practical knowledge and skills they can apply in their daily lives, helping to build a healthier future for themselves and their communities.
Our Impact
By teaching children how to care for their overall health and bodies, we helped reduce preventable illness, improve confidence, and support better school participation. For many families, these hygiene care packages combined with health and hygiene education were their first introduction to structured health and hygiene care—an important step toward healthier futures.
As we continued our work, it became clear that education alone could be strengthened by building infrastructures to support access to clean water, leading us to develop a broader framework that combines learning with practical resources. By integrating hygiene education and supply distribution with our STEM infrastructure projects—such as building rainwater-harvesting systems—we work to equip children and families with the resources, knowledge, and tools needed to protect their health and well-being. This comprehensive framework establishes a replicable system that can be extended to additional schools and underserved regions in Vietnam. In summer of 2025, we began this comprehensive framework at Sín Chéng Primary School and have since created a ripple effect, expanding the model to Phan Bội Chau Primary School, Đắk Lắk Province and Quan Hồ Thẩn Commune Kindergarten No. 2, Lào Cai Province.
